New Edition of the Booklet of the Divine Liturgy of St John Chrysostom

A new, revised and expanded edition of the Booklet of the Divine Liturgy of St John Chrysostom is now available. Produced with the blessing of Metropolitan John of Dubna, it pays tribute to the lifelong work of Archpriest André Fortounatto (†), who laboured faithfully to hand on the liturgical tradition of the Archdiocese of the Orthodox Churches of Russian Tradition in Western Europe.

Designed to meet the needs of French-speaking parishes, this edition offers a common liturgical text in keeping with the Russian tradition of the Archdiocese. It uses the French translation approved by the Assembly of Orthodox Bishops of France, enriched with precise rubrics intended to facilitate the celebration of the Divine Liturgy.

A second volume accompanies the booklet. It gathers numerous explanatory notes on the rubrics, the typikon, the great feasts and concelebrations, together with historical, theological and pastoral commentaries. The fruit of several decades of experience of Archpriest André Fortounatto, this work is a reference tool for priests, deacons, readers and altar servers, while also offering the faithful a better understanding of the course and meaning of the Liturgy.

In addition, a pocket booklet is offered. More compact, it contains the essentials of the practical directions of the large format, to accompany celebrants in their liturgical service and lay people in following the service.
