On the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the Paris premiere of the Liturgy byAlexander Gretchaninoff with organ, the Russian choir of Paris Znamenie will give an exceptional concert this Sunday, 20 September 2026, at 4 p.m., at the church of Notre-Dame-du-Travail, in Paris.
A singular work in the Orthodox choral repertoire, this Liturgy stands out for the richness of its harmonic writing and for its organ accompaniment, rare in the Orthodox liturgical tradition, where the chant is usually performed a cappella.
After several performances, notably in Paris and in Agen, the Znamenie choir will present this work for the fourth and last time, on the occasion of the European Heritage Days.
