On Saturday 21 February, with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan John of Dubna, ruling Archbishop, Bishop Symeon of Domodedovo, auxiliary bishop, presided at the Divine Liturgy at St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Paris, together with the Very Reverend Archimandrite Joseph (Poustooutov), a cleric of the Diocese of Berlin of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, and the Very Reverend Archpriest André Svynarov, keeper of the keys of the cathedral.
During the Great Entrance, Bishop Symeon ordained the hierodeacon Benedict (Niklas Robin) Freialdenhoven to the priesthood. He is a student at the Institute of Orthodox Theology of St Sergius and will serve a parish in Germany.
At the end of the service, Bishop Symeon conveyed the Archbishop’s blessing to the newly ordained priest and wished him much joy in his commitment to the Church.

Afterwards, coffee was offered to the clergy and the faithful present.
