With the blessing of Metropolitans Dimitrios of France and John of Dubna, a course in francophone Orthodox liturgical singing in the Russian tradition is being organized by Olga KOLESSNIKOW, Irène MARIETTE-KOROTKOFF, Cyrille and Stéphane SOLLOGOUB.
The course is open to all jurisdictions and will take place from 19 July to 26 July 2026 at the Espace Montcalm in Vannes, in the Morbihan (56000) in Brittany. Access to the venue is via rue des Ursulines for cars (a car park is available on site) and rue Monseigneur Tréhiou for pedestrians.
The course is intended for:
1) choir singers wishing to learn or deepen their knowledge of the 8 tones, so as to take part more confidently in their parish choir.
2) people wishing to learn to conduct a choir or to consolidate their skills.
It is limited to 55 participants.
Registration is open from today until 3 May 2026 (subject to places available).
In addition to learning the eight tones and choir conducting, optional practical workshops may be offered to you. If you have special needs, do not hesitate to let us know: we will consider your requests carefully.
The price of the course, full board until Sunday, 26 July, with breakfast (after the liturgy), excluding transport, will be determined according to the type of room chosen and the number of participants (see the attached registration form). Sheets are provided, but towels are not included. If you wish to share your room with other people, it is essential to register at the same time, otherwise we cannot guarantee your request.
Requests concerning the category of room will be taken into account as far as availability allows and in the order in which registrations are received.
A rate without accommodation is also offered for people living in the immediate vicinity of Vannes.
Payment:
A deposit of €160 is requested upon registration. A second payment of €160 will be required before 15 March 2026, and the balance must be paid no later than 3 May 2026, the closing date for registration.
Cancellation conditions:
In view of the financial commitment made to the establishment hosting us, the cancellation conditions are as follows:
– If you cancel before 3 May 2026, the sums paid will be refunded to you,
except for the deposit.
– For a cancellation between 3 May 2026 and 30 June 2026, only the amount corresponding to the price of the meals can be refunded.
– From 1st July 2026, the full amount of the course remains due.
