“Rejoice, O Virgin Theotokos, Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Thou art blessed among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, for thou hast borne the Saviour of our souls!”
On 7 April 2025, His Eminence Metropolitan John of Dubna presided at the Divine Liturgy of the feast of the Annunciation at the St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Paris.
Before the service, Metropolitan John tonsured Viaceslav Batiusca a reader and ordained him a subdeacon for the Moldovan Orthodox Community of the Annunciation of the Mother of God at rue Daru.
After the Great Entrance, the Archbishop ordained the protodeacon Boris de Maack a priest for the French-speaking parish of the Holy Trinity (the cathedral crypt), Paris.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan John awarded the Order of St Alexander Nevsky (No. 058), the highest decoration of the Archdiocese of Orthodox Churches of Russian Tradition in Western Europe, to Mrs HELENE RUNGE, head of the archives of the Archdiocese of Orthodox Churches of Russian Tradition in Western Europe, for her immense work, her commitment, her devotion and her fidelity to the Archdiocese.
