With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan John of Dubna, for the sixth consecutive year, a cycle of courses in the Typikon and liturgical chant is being offered at the St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Paris.
These courses, taught by Protodeacons Alexandre Kedroff and Jean Drobot, are intended for clergy, choir members and any of the faithful interested in liturgical science.
The classes will take place on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m., preceded by the celebration of Vespers at 6 p.m., to which all are invited.
One Thursday a month will be held in hybrid format (in person and on Zoom) and devoted to theoretical teaching. The other Thursdays will be in person and more focused on practice (chanting, reading…).
For those who live far from Paris, it is possible to take part only in the monthly Zoom classes.
The classes are held in French, as is the practice of liturgical chant. A second group offers parallel instruction in Russian.
At the end of the yearly cycle, a seminar in liturgical practice will be organised, as every year, in the first week of July 2026.
The first class will take place on Thursday, 9 October 2025 and will be held both in person and on Zoom.
Registration is free. However, everyone may support our school by making a voluntary contribution.

Those who are interested are asked to register by e-mail at this address: seminaire.liturgique.
