On 6 January 2026, on the eve of the feast of the Nativity of Christ, His Eminence Metropolitan John of Dubna celebrated the Vigil at the St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Paris, surrounded by the cathedral clergy and many faithful.
On 7 January, Metropolitan John presided over the Divine Liturgy of the Nativity of Christ. At the end of the service, Protodeacon Jean Drobot read the Message of Metropolitan John, which was broadcast live on Radio France.
After the celebration, the Archbishop, thanking the benefactor of the cathedral, the servant of God IGOR ZUBKOV-PODGAETSKY and his wife YULIA ZUBKOVA-PODGAETSKAYA, presented them with an icon of the patron saints of their family, and then the Metropolitan shared a coffee with the faithful in the parish hall of Saint Mother Maria of Paris.
The cathedral choir and the two Moldovan choirs congratulated His Eminence by singing carols.
