Dear Friends,
Currently, the Memorial of the Internment and Deportation in Compiègne, visited by Metropolitan John during his stay at the parish of Our Lady of the Protecting Veil in March 2025, is presenting an exhibition on the women interned at Ravensbrück.
On one of the panels, Saint Mother Maria of Paris is presented. She was interned in this camp, as were her son Yuri and Father Dimitri Klepinin, before being killed in the death camps.

The parish of Our Lady of the Protecting Veil celebrates near this Memorial. It is in direct contact with those who run this place of remembrance, in order to make known the confinement of Orthodox Christians of Russian nationality in Compiègne during the Second World War, and Saint Mother Maria of Paris and her companions, all interned in Compiègne.
Father François Graillot
