On Sunday, 2 November 2025, the Orthodox parish of the Resurrection in Nantes ( https://eglise- orthodoxe-nantes.fr/) had the joy of welcoming Vladyka Symeon, spiritual father of the Monastery of St Silouan, on a pastoral visit.
Concelebrating around the altar were Bishop Symeon, Father Emmanuel, rector of the parish, Father Symeon, and Deacons Alexis and Sergei. They were assisted by Subdeacon Pascal and Readers Laurent, Matthew and Anatole.
The choir, made up of nine singers, supported the common prayer with fervour, alternating between French and Slavonic, accompanied by the presence of a large number of faithful who had come for this visit, awaited with emotion and gratitude.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Vladyka Symeon gave his blessing to Victor, the young son of Father Symeon and Matushka Angélique, on the occasion of his first birthday.
As a sign of attachment and gratitude, the parish presented its bishop with a Book of Hours translated into Breton ( Levr an Eurioù-https://orthodoxie.com/ le-livre-des-heures-en-breton/ ), a tribute to the spiritual and cultural richness of our region.

The celebration continued in a joyful and fraternal atmosphere: around the festive agape meal, laughter and conversation filled the air. Everyone was able to share a simple and warm moment, reflecting the beautiful unity and vitality of our community, gathered in joy at the visit of its bishop.
