Communiqué of the Diocesan Administration: Ordinary General Assembly of the Archdiocese – 21 June 2025

The Ordinary General Assembly (OGA) of the Archdiocese met on 21 June 2025 to rule on the 2024 financial year.

This Assembly brought together more than 80 people, two thirds of them by videoconference, the others gathered in the parish hall of the cathedral. The Credentials Committee (Fr André Drobot, Fr Jean Maquart, Mrs Corinne Fried and Mrs Alexandra Andreeff) handled the registration and verification of participants in full. Volunteer interpreters provided translations into Russian, English and German using the features of the videoconference system: Fr Laurent Cleenewerk, Fr Jacob Siemens, Fr German, Mr Serge Andreeff, Mrs Tatiana Drobot and Mr Janis Tortora. The videoconference relied on the cathedral’s technical equipment used for broadcasting the services, operated by Mr André Sirbu. Faithful of the cathedral, under the direction of Mrs Hélène Markoff and Mrs Marie Mikoulinsky, provided the welcome coffee and the coffee at the break.

The Bureau of the Assembly consisted of Metropolitan John, president ex officio, Mr Serge Runge, secretary ex officio, as well as Fr André Krémentzoff and Mr Nicolas Lopoukhine, vice-presidents approved by the Assembly.

The results of the votes were recorded by the tellers approved by the Assembly: Fr Serge Ciolkovitch, Fr Maxime Le Diraison, Mrs Nathalie Jankovic and Mrs Anne Kawiecki.

The Assembly heard the moral report of the president, Metropolitan John, the management report of the secretary, Mr Serge Runge, and then the financial report of the treasurer, Mr Nicolas Lopoukhine, supplemented by the report of the Audit Committee.

The management report and the financial report for the year 2024 and the budget for the year 2025 were approved by the OGA.

The Assembly then heard reports on the Archives of the Archdiocese as well as on the parishes of Lille, Belfort and Liège, which are celebrating their centenary this year.
