The parish of Sts Panteleimon and Nicholas, under the direction of Hieromonk Prokhor, solemnly celebrated the Nativity of Christ in the Russian tradition in its historic church, nearly a hundred years old.
After the Vigil on the evening of 6 January, the Liturgy on Tuesday, 7 January, gathered a large congregation, especially for a working day.
The day continued with joyful and abundant agape and “koliadki” (Christmas carols) in Russian and Ukrainian.
This allowed the parish to forget for a time its legal troubles with the association that is seeking to evict it from its church.
